unit7 a christmas carol

brief introduction

this unitintroduces british literature, which is mainly about charles and his some works, such as oliver twist, david copperfield, a tale of two cities. especially, in the reading and integrating skills parts, the two passages give us a description of a whole story—a christmas carol. what’s more, language study is connected with the story closely. in the writing part, the students need to write a comment on the story a christmas carol.

teaching aims:

1.      learn about charles dickens and his works.

2.      talk about social responsibilities.

3.      review the adverbial

4.      write a review of a play
