goals: 1. review the –ed form.

      2 . to study some daily expressions.

      3. get ss know how to punctuate a paragraph.

         4. help ss learn how to write an article about your childhood.

5. help ss review what we have learnt in this module;   

teaching procedures:

step 1 revision

check the answers to the workbook exercises of grammar.

step 2 everyday english

1. group work. ask ss to read what they have filled in just now. and then ask them a question:

  (1) why does the interviewer use these expressions? is it possible for her to do the interview without them?

  (2) what do mary lennon’s expressions tell you?

suggested answers:

(1) it is not necessary for the interviewer to use the expressions, but using them is a friendly way of interviewing.

2. individual work. ask ss to finish activity 2 on page 28 and check the answers together.

step 3 task

1. group work. allow them to prepare for the presentation within 3 minutes.

2. (individual work) ask two or three students to introduce a place of interest to all the students by using the photographs, postcards, magazine or newspaper reports, etc.

3. (group work) ask some group to present their tour. suppose one of them is a guide, and the rest of them are tourists. the guide shows the scenery
