(2) marry vt. 嫁或娶,和...结婚
1) marry sb./ get married 表示动作
he is going to marry jane. they got married last year. 他们去年结的婚。
2) married adj. be married (to sb.)嫁给（某人）,表示状态
they have been married for 13 years.
3) marry sb. to sb. 表示父母把女儿嫁给某人或为儿子娶媳妇。
it was her parents who married her to tom. 是她父母把她嫁给了汤姆。

(2)表示“随着”如:
as children get older, they become more and more interested in everything.
