word power是这套牛津教材中的新板块，通过该板块的学习，可以帮助学生拓展相关主题的词汇量。本课主要学习的是与行业、技能以及发展相关的词汇。在学习词汇的过程中，帮助学生掌握一些与发展相关的同义词，并了解与本课主题相关的一些背景知识。
teaching aims:
1. learn some words and phrases about the industry.
2. learn some synonyms of “develop”.
teaching procedures:
step 1 brainstorming
the teacher begins the lesson by conducting a survey on the jobs that the students’ parents do.
“what does your father/mother do?”
“can you put all the occupations into different categories?”
