非谓语动词(主要指不定式或动名词)作主语时，谓语动词通常用单数。如：
1. 动名词作主语
having to change trains is a small inconvenience. 换乘火车多少有些不便。
being deaf and dumb makes communication very difficult. 又聋又哑很难与人交往。
